Postable Gifts

I'm working on creating gift sets around my rare breed wooden animals. They will include a certificate about the animal and breed history with a hand drawn map of the area they come from. There will also be a landscape drawing of the area they come from to act as a backdrop display, this one is Swaledale.

Bespoke Design

A shelf unit carefully made from a repurposed single scull bow section. “Dimple” was a restricted single scull built 40+ years ago for the teaching of novices to the sport of rowing and for their first races. Her class was characterised by a wider mid section and an external keel for added stability, recalling the earlier, but heavier clinker built boats. She now has a new life as items of furniture that will be as loved as when she raced in her heyday.

Another Successful Commision

Finished this, finally! Herdwick sheep 104x70cm painted for a local farmer. The sheep are unique in that they have blue dye and red raddle that mixes with their blue-grey and white fleeces. I plan on getting some prints made as I think they would make great seasonal cards.

A Sign of Things to Come

Forgive the lighting, but I love making custom items like this to measure hook rack! The Leek and Manifold Valley Light railway was a narrow gauge line that only lasted from 1904-1934 and today it's trackbed forms the popular Manifold Valley trail. The locomotives had huge headlamps unique in England and were probably down to the lines engineer using the same designs for narrow gauge lines he had built in India.
